Inspired by the mountainous landscapes of Colorado, the design introduces a series of sculpted berms throughout the site, creating natural transitions, visual screening, and a stronger sense of enclosure. These landforms are planted with a carefully selected palette of species characteristic of Colorado’s mountain landscapes, chosen for their ability to adapt to the climate and growing conditions of southern Indiana.

Stone was established as a defining element of the landscape, reinforcing the connection to the project’s Colorado inspiration while adding texture, permanence, and visual structure. The resulting landscape integrates topography, planting, and natural materials into a cohesive and harmonious environment that responds to the family’s lifestyle while providing functional outdoor spaces and a sense of privacy.
